Becky Sharpe, CEO
Becky Sharpe grew up in Nashville and earned a Bachelor of Arts in German and Master’s degree in International Marketing, both from Vanderbilt University. While at Vanderbilt she spent 6 months at Vanderbilt in France and one year in Germany at the University of Regensburg. Sharpe is fluent in English, German and dangerous in French.
She is a Board Member and mentor for Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Middle Tennessee, a board member of the Girl Scouts of Middle TN and Walk Bike Nashville. Becky also served three years on the Nashville Chamber Education Report Card Committee and the Learning Technology Committee of Alignment Nashville and was co-chair for the Hillsboro Cluster Parent Advisory Committee
Becky joined International Scholarship and Tuition Services, Inc.(ISTS) –previously named Scholarship Program Administrators, Inc. (SPA) - in July 2002 to serve as President and Partner until purchasing the company from founder Nyles Ayers in 2008. As President and Chief Executive Officer of ISTS, Becky maintains 100% ownership of the business and is responsible for providing a productive environment for ISTS staff, exceptional overall service to clients and a long term vision for the company. In 2013 ISTS acquired a major competitor and has successfully merged the two cultures while maintaining 98% of the clients and increasing the bottom line for ISTS. In addition, she is CEO and Co-Owner of Collegiate Sports Data and is working to grow this company in the athletic data collection and distribution field. She is a member of the Green Hills Rotary, Vistage International (CEO Roundtable), and the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO). Both of her companies are certified 100 % woman-owned by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Association (WBENC). Prior to her career with ISTS and CSD, Sharpe served as Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Optimum Solutions from 1991-2002.
In her free time, she enjoys, family outings (biking, hiking), cooking, podcasts and listening to books on Audible. She loves competing in triathlons, trail running, biking, gardening, traveling and business acquisitions. She and her husband, Michael, will celebrate their 30th anniversary in the summer of 2018; they have three children, Tyson, Lucas and Lilly.
We offer a variety of ways in which alumni working in marketing can stay engaged with students at Vanderbilt. Interested alumni can consider mentoring students through a student project and/or an independent study.
In addition, we encourage interested alums to join our LinkedIn group. The LinkedIn group offers members a way to connect with each other and exchange ideas and information. Further, it provides updates about events at Vanderbilt with relevance to those interested in marketing.

- Volunteering as a panelist or guest speaker at a marketing event on campus
- Share your experience as a professional marketer by writing a thought leadership piece for our website or LinkedIn page
- Share internship or full-time career opportunities with current students
- Virtually mentor an MBA Student
